4) Dolmabahçe Palace: Built in between 1843 and 1856 by 31 st Ottoman Sultan Abdulmecid I. It was home to six sultans from 1856. Atatürk, the founder and first President of the Republic Of Turkey, used the palace as a presidential Residence and he died there. It was the first European style palace built by Ottoman Sultans.
